At church yesterday, instead of a sermon from our pastor, we watched an interview of Bono done by Bill Hybels of Willow Creek Church. It was very cool, I mean how often do you get to listen to U2 during church? The message was very thought-provoking and really made you want to get more involved. It really spurred me on to find more local opportunities to give my time and resources to. Here's part of the interview we watched.
The interview is part of a larger study on William Wilburforce and serving others. I really like my church, it really challenges me to be a better person.

Sunday Sermon Notes (a little late)
"Finding Meaning" - Four Steps to Finding the Meaning of Life
Luke 24:13-34
He who has a "why" to live for can bear almost any "how" - Frederick Nietzsche
Walk
A good walk reveals whenn we have no adventure in our lives and how easy it is to drift apart from those we love. Taking walks (literally and spiritually) helps us to become closer to God. No matter what stage of life you are in, we should have adventure.
Read
Read the Bible, understand the Bible as a whole. You've got to see the big picture. Every Christian should read the Bible (the whole thing) several times in their life.
Eat
The Bible talks about eating a lot. The prodigal son returns home and a banquet is prepared. Banquets symbolize what God's plan for us to spend eternity with Him. We've all be invited, but have we accepted?
Breaking bread signifies a new creation. When we take part, we are being renewed.
Relax
We are not God. We can relax and trust in Him because he has everything in control. Trusting in Him is an act of obedience.
