So, lately I have had a few friends go through some rough times, and I have really been amazed by the ones who handle their situation with grace and dignity and have the attitude that "God is bigger than the problem I'm facing. I'm going to trust in Him and trust that He has a plan for me".
I've been a little more than amazed by those folks, I've been a little envious. How do they do that? It's so unnatural. Which, in part is the beauty of it. However, it's a lot easier to be envious of those kind of people rather than to adopt that attitude yourself.
I've been thinking about having that attitude a lot, I even heard someone talking about that on the radio! This lady had really gone through a lot, and her attitude was not "why me?", but rather "why not me". I thought that was incredible.
So, I then resolved rather than be envious, that if hard times should come my way, I would have that attitude. I know it's not going to be easy, but I figure it's better than wallowing in self pity and bitterness.

I kinda needed to hear that God is big and he has a plan. My mom's been trying to remind me of it lately but it hasn't been something I wanted to hear from her.
But when I read it on your blog just now, I was all, "oh yeah. He IS big and he DOES have a plan. So why aren't you trusting him? Duh, Leen!"
