Hailey the Explorer

Hailey had quite the weekend. First on Thanksgiving Day, she went to my parents house to be kenneled while we had dinner at another relatives house. Upon our return we let her out in the backyard (which back up to the Minnesota River Bluffs) and all of a sudden I see Hailey bounding like an antelope across the yard and down the hill. Thank goodness she is pretty good about listening. It took a few minutes, but she came back.

She did the same thing again on Friday (only this time she snuck out). She now has several cuts on her nose, chin, belly and paw from running through the brush. I am rrying not to feel too sorry for her.

Also, on Thanksgiving Day we made the unfortunate mistake of leaving Hailey in my in--laws laundry room since they didn't have a kennel. Upon our return we found their beautiful new console table to have a distressed look. You know, the kind only a pitbull breed can do.

So, we look forward to replacing the Cabot Console Table, which is incidently sold out. We are searching high and low for a similar replacement or hoping that one magically shows up on Craigslist.

The rest of our weekend was relaxing and Hailey was a pretty good girl. We found out that my husband's grandfather passed away on Saturday, so we have the wake and funeral this week.
