The Case of the Missing Shoe

So this morning the dog woke me at up surprisingly a pleasant hour. In my sleepy stupor, I remembered the dog needed to go for her morning walk. So then, I stumbled downstairs to put on my tennis shoes. I saw one tennis shoe. I put it on and started to look for the other one. Didn't see it. Looked in the living room, kitchen, pantry, closet, bathroom. You name it, I looked there. After about fifteen minutes of searching, I sat down on the bed in total frustration. I was seriously thinking I had lost my mind or that someone had stolen my shoe. I then looked over and saw this:

The mystery had been solved and the thief was caught! Fortunately for my shoe, I didn't catch her red-handed.

The thief is now serving time in a puppy prison in an undisclosed location. Just kidding, the thief then went for her morning walk and has sworn off shoes forever.
